Aging Gracefully Philosophy

The quality of life our residents enjoy is at the core of our mission. Research shows that activity, both physical and mental, can improve the overall quality of life. Our goal is to create a whole person wellness attitude and change how we think and act in relation to our residents. "Aging Gracefully" is not a "program," but rather the embodiment of an attitude about the quality of life we provide our residents. It is the platform upon which family members and staff alike participate to present those attributes that will allow the residents to rediscover the joy available in life

Aging Gracefully Culture

"Living Gracefully," Grace Management, Inc.’s Health & Wellness Program offers our associates the opportunity to participate in programs designed to enhance organizational health plans by fostering interest and encourage healthy lifestyles.

"Living Gracefully," offers diverse wellness programs designed to meet a wide range of personal health needs. Associates set their own individual goals. Once goals are met, or exceeded, associates are recognized and often rewarded. Employees participating in the "Living Gracefully," program lead healthier, more active lifestyles, decreased absenteeism due to illness or stress and a positive “re-energized” culture that is focused on celebrating healthy choices and improving the quality of life for all of our associates.

The Village Program

REFLECT... on memories and past accomplishments
REJOICE... in the success experienced each day
RENEW... hopes and spirits every day

Developed by Grace Management, Inc., The Village Program is a specialized Life Enrichment Program designed to create an environment of success through meaningful and enriching activities for individuals experiencing memory loss typically not associated with the normal aging process. By promoting a more active lifestyle, our residents experience a greater quality of life. The Village Program is designed to build on the relationships between caregivers and residents in our specialized memory care neighborhoods. There is a great focus on smaller group activities or one-on-one activities designed to engage residents through the entire day.

Activities may include:

  • Sensory Stimulation
  • Hand Massages
  • Book Clubs & Readings
  • Art & Music Therapy
  • Tea Socials
  • Reminiscing
  • Life Skills Activities
  • Physical Fitness/Exercise Programs

All Day Dining Program

What time is dinner? . . . “whenever you choose.”
The All Day Dining Program is a unique concept designed to provide our residents the freedom of choice.   Options like breakfast for dinner or lunch at 2:00 pm rather than noon.  Whether an early riser or late sleeper, All Day Dining offers the flexibility to choose what works best for you.

All Day Dining offers an alternate menu of choices that may include the main entrée of the day, breakfast items, soups, salads, sandwiches, etc.

IMPACT (Improving Mobility through Prevention, Assessment, Conditioning & Tai Chi)

The most important factor in staying self-sufficient is mobility.  Being able to go where you want and when you want is important to our residents.  IMPACT  was developed to help our residents do just that!

IMPACT is designed to:
Increase mobility
Decrease risk of falling
Allow our residents to lead a more self-sufficient lifestyle

Once our residents meet or exceed their individual goals, rewards and celebration follow!   IMPACT is a part of our “Aging Gracefully” philosophy and we strongly believe our program will have a positive “impact” on the quality of life our residents experience.
